In addition to Merano/Meran 2000, ski holidaymakers will find four other ski areas around our hotel in Avelengo/Hafling that are easy to reach in Merano and Environs. While ski holidaymakers enjoy an eventful time out near the hotel up Merano/Meran 2000, the romantic San Vigilio/Vigiljoch is the ideal destination for those seeking peace and quiet. The ski area in the mountain village of Plan/Pfelders in Val Passiria/Passeiertal, on the other hand, impresses with a mixture of family-friendly and challenging slopes and is also considered a pioneer in terms of sustainability. The Schwemmalm in Val d’Ultimo/Ultental is known for its challenging downhill runs and rustic mountain huts for refreshments in between. Finally, the ski area on the Val Senales/Schnalstal glacier offers slopes with guaranteed snow at 3,200 metres above sea level. The ski season here runs from September to May. As you can see, it’s worth checking out other ski mountains as well on a skiing holiday near Merano/Meran 2000.

Fans of Nordic skiing will also find what they’re looking for not far from our hotel in Avelengo/Hafling. The cross-country skiing trail in Avelengo/Hafling leads for three kilometres through the snow-covered winter forest on a circuit at 1,640 metres above sea level. The trail is suitable for beginners and families with children. At the cable car bottom station you will find skis and all the equipment at one of the ski rental shops.

Experience the magic of our snow-covered forests and pastures, who turn into the ideal location for your relaxing walks. In the surroundings of Hafling you’ll find 25km of perfectly groomed hiking paths.
The toboggan run with starting point at the Merano/Meran 2000 mountain station winds its way through snow-covered forests to Falzeben, which is just a 3-minute drive from our hotel. The Hafling high plateau and Merano/Meran 2000 is an ideal place for ski touring, both for beginners and real pros. Every Thursday and Friday, you can enjoy the hiking paths of Merano/Meran 2000 ski area, as well as its slopes until 11 p.m. Ascending on the slopes is forbidden. Look forward to the south-facing Mt Tschöggelberg high route and the designated challenging Kuhleiten route in Merano/Meran 2000.
